How it works with other systems in the body
The body consists of numerous subsystems that help our bodies function properly. All systems must work together to make sure that everything runs smoothly. For example, our glands in our skin secrete oils that help enhance the barrier function of the skin which helps with our immune system. Our skin is also related to the digestive system because digestion of dietary fats and oils are essential for the body to produce protective oils for the skin and hair. Of course it works with the nervous system because skin plays a very important role with touch in our bodies. The nervous system pretty much depends on neurons that are embedded in our skin to sense everything.
